Research
The Hong Research Group develops advanced catalysts and energy nanomaterials for clean hydrogen production, utilization, and storage. Through rational synthesis and characterization, we control catalyst shape, composition, and crystal structure and evaluate their performance from three-electrode systems to MEA devices. Our research covers water electrolysis, fuel cells, ammonia conversion, and liquid organic hydrogen carrier technologies.
We welcome motivated graduate students who wish to develop next-generation catalysts for a sustainable hydrogen-energy future.
